Armin Nikravan is a Los Angeles based video editor with experience in narrative, documentary, and short form editing. He studied editing at DePaul University, where he built a strong technical foundation and understanding of film history. His work is informed by hands on experience with 16mm, 35mm, and 70 mm film, including projection, splicing, and handling archival formats like nitrate.

In addition to his educational experience, Armin developed professional experience as a production assistant at Union Editorial handling production drives and providing client services and other office support. Before that, that as an assistant editor intern with Hourglass Films he logged and organized over 50 hours of documentary footage, putting together an assembly cut from a director outline. He has also worked as a Video Editor for The Executives’ Club of Chicago, cutting virtual event recaps and promotional content.

Currently, he works full time as Senior Editor at Doppler Cow Studios. He also contributes to the Sherman Grinberg Film Archive, preserving historical newsreels, while taking on freelance and personal projects whenever possible.

He is proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, and Pro Tools, using these tools to support a wide range of projects.
